Thanks for showing us the skeleton Ms.Towata

On January 27, 2010 the Wednesday Uplinks program welcomed Eileen Towata from Castle Medical Center's Wellness and Lifestyle Medicine Center.

6th, 7th & 8th grade students were provided with an in depth review of how the body's health affects day to day activity. X-rays were viewed and the connection to activity and health discussed.

Students were encouraged to participate in simple sitting and standing
Pilates exercises to learn about their own bodies and gauge how to develop balance and their ability to focus.

A model skeleton was presented showing the connections between good posture and good health.

A variety of health-related careers was discussed. Students also had the opportunity for an extended Q & A session.

Thank you Ms. ET.
